Bill English was born and raised in Honeoye Falls, NY, a small town just south of Rochester. He attended the North Carolina School of the Arts acting conservatory in Winston-Salem, NC where he received a BFA degree in acting in 2002. After graduation, Bill moved to NYC to pursue his career. He quickly started working in various regional theatres around the country as well as off-broadway plays and developing new works in NYC. A trained singer, actor, and musician, he appeared on Broadway in "Twentieth Century" starring Alec Baldwin and Anne Heche, directed by Tony award winner Walter Bobbie. In the fall of 2004, Bill had the opportunity to screen test for Saturday Night Live. Following Twentieth Century, Bill starred as Benny Remington in "The Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell", written and directed by fellow NCSA Alum, Kevin Wheatley. "Threshold of Hell" was picked up for distribution by the National Lampoons franchise and will be released in 25 cities in October. He can be seen in many national commercial spots for Raisin Bran Crunch (as "Johnson" the chewing office worker), AT&T, Coke Zero, Dunkin Donuts, FedEx, and T-Mobile (as the duped "Secret Lover" boyfriend). Bill currently resides in Los Angeles where he has just completed filming "Cavemen", a half-hour comedy pilot for ABC helmed by "Blades of Glory" directors Will Speck and Josh Gordon. Bill plays the lead caveman "Joel". Also in the cast are Nick Kroll, Dash Mihok, Kaitlin Doubleday, Stephanie Lemelin, Julie White, and John Heard.
