Bill lands the lead in new pilot for ABC

Bill has been cast as the lead caveman, Joel, in a new comedy pilot for ABC. The series, called "Cavemen", is based on the cavemen characters from the hugely popular Geico insurance commercials. After two screentests in full caveman prosthetics, Bill received a call from director Will Speck telling him he was cast. Also in the cast are Nick Kroll as "Nick" (Joel's best friend), Dash Mihok as "Jamie" (Joel's little brother), Kaitlin Doubleday as "Kate" (Joel's fiance), and John Heard as "Trip" (Joel's soon to be father-in-law). Shooting for the half-hour single-camera pilot begins April 9.
